IT IS NOT EASY TO FIND A SCHOOL THAT HAS CREATED ITS MODEL BASED ON 22+ YEARS OF ACTUAL RESEARCH ON HOW CHILDREN DEVELOP…

My World Pre-School is unique in many ways. It is not easy to find a school that has created its model based on 22 years of actual research on how children develop, and what they need in order to develop in all spheres of their lives. What is offered to your child is not based on an aim to get a standard output. What is offered is individualized. It is based on your child's interests, academic level, emotional constitution and physical ability.

Each class has a variety of qualified teachers which makes such an individualized approach possible. Your child is treated as a full and capable human being and is respected. If your child is hungry, he or she can go and fetch a snack and sit down and eat. If your child is trying to master drawing mermaids, he or she can spend the bulk of the day doing that. If your child dances in a unique style, his teacher may research that and show him a YouTube video of what else is possible in terms of moves and rhythms.

I had two of my children at My World while we lived in Dar Es Salaam. I am now homeschooling my children because I can't bring myself to insert them into the educational sausage machine.

My World is world class. I have never had my children in such an ideal environment.

Creating Leaders Since 1994

“Our basic philosophy is to create thinkers, leaders, creating responsible citizens and nurturing each individual's uniqueness. Everything from using emergent curriculum (inquiry based child centered learning), to 'process VS product', loose parts in the playground, catering for multiple intelligences….goes towards supporting that underlying belief.”

HOW DO WE KNOW OUR SYSTEM WORKS? BY THE SUCCESS OF OUR STUDENTS!

I have been part of My World since a really young age, 25 years in and I still feel like My World is home. It is where I took my first steps into education and knowledge. As My World has developed along the years, I have felt part of the journey, moving from one campus to the other.

I have learnt from My World that you are your own tutor, setting your own pace and interest from a young age. It is not necessary that the interests of one child would be the same as another child. This has helped me throughout my life by allowing me to plan my studies around my interest and pick options for both my degrees that would best suit my career.

Something that I must mention which reflects on my career is my love for colours that has come from my early childhood learning. The activities and involvement with different shades of colours has nurtured my creative side of looking at things.

My communication skills have significantly enhanced since I did a summer volunteering at My World. It made me realise that whoever is your audience, communication and the way you convey your message is key. This opened my eyes to a working environment and was a steppingstone. I currently work in London as a Business Analyst. It is still a learning curve, and I highly implement what I gathered from my early childhood, pick and choose my interest in my field. Colours and creativity play a vast role as I create visual graphs, design presentations and documents that need to be presented to the clients. I can proudly say, I have a great eye to details.

My advice to parents is; allow your child to build their own path from a young age, whilst supporting them. Do not force them or compare them to other peers. They will do wonders if they are left to choose what interests them the best. My World is honestly the place to start and you can always look back.

My World has always been a home to me, I have created a close bond that I don’t think I will ever lose. I am always welcomed back with a warmth by Rupal, Sonal, and the loving staff. I still tend to pay a visit when I get around.
